OK, I have surfed around and can't seem to find a good answer, so here goes.....
My boat is barely broke in (15 hrs) and haven't done any hard pulls or long WOT runs, so maybe I'm ahead of myself. At 3000' elevation, boat will pull 4800 rpm, and low 40's mph (GPS). Only pulled a couple tubes so far, which worked quite well. Current prop is the OEM that came with, 14.5 x 19, 3-blade aluminum.
I can get a steal on a high-5 (merc #48-815758, 13.25 x 19)and read lots that they are great for bottom end pulling.
But what will happen to the top end mph, rpms, etc?
How about cruise speed, let's say 25 mph, will the rpms rise with the High5?
I figure the High5 will help pull a skier up or when the boat is loaded up with people. But I don't want to give up my topend.
So, does anyone have any real actual numbers??
Any advise would be appreciated.

Cant give you numbers for your boat, but I lost about 2-3 mph off the top end when I went to a hi five from my stainless steel vengeance on my 200 select with 5.0 mpi.

Fuel economy is also slightly worse with the hi five.

But it planes significantly quicker, and at a lower speed, and is easier to hold a steady wakeboard speed with the hi five.

If cruising is what you mainly do then stay with what you;ve got, if you want to get more serious with the wakeboard/ski then use a hi five.

This is advice that is right on

Yeah, here are actual numbers. I tested these two weeks ago at 4,000 ft. elevation. 50 degree day, two people on board and full gas. I ran a high five 19P all last year with great results with up to 7 people on board. I just bought a 17P too that I bought for extreme situations. As you can see, you don't lose much top end with the 19P high five. If you want to pull a lot it is the only way to go. I keep the 19P 3 blade on board for a spare or if I want to cruise all day lightly loaded.

Wow, that didn't work out like the table showed when I pasted it. Send me a PM and I can e-mail you the excel spread sheet I recorded the data in or.......tell me how to attach the file and I'll do that.
