Here we go again!

This is a mess, we have around a foot of new snow, but who can tell with the 30 mph winds blowing it around. I cleared my driveway of about 6-8 inches this morning and now I have 3-4 foot drifts to contend with. I gave up, will go at it when the darn wind stops. I too am on two acres, and our whole development is wide open, so the wind is playing havoc with drifting.

Reading boat books, and the forum to stay sane.

I'm also in Mt. Airy and enjoying the blizzard! Just hope the shrink wrap holds up! Town has done a pretty good job of keeping the streets open in the development. Next to buying the boat, the snow blower was my best investment!

I'm a professor at a university that has been closed all week. Can't imagine what the Residential Life staff is going through trying to keep the students occupied and out of trouble.

Hey Walz, we're back off of Harrisville near Linganore Winery. We are paralyzed out here! Haven't seen a plow in days.

I can just imagine what it is like back in there. And with the drifts blowing across the open fields! I've lived in this area since a child and remember when the State Roads Dept. would put up snow fence to stop drifting across the roads in open areas. They stopped doing that back in late 60's or 70's. Anyway, good luck and stay safe!

I usually end up with lake front property because I have a creek at the bottom of our property :)

Blizzard warning ends at 10pm. I think it finally stopped snowing here and we're dealing with the winds and drifts. It looks like a lunar landscape out there tonight.

I really feel bad for all of you folks back there. I feel bad that I walked around town without a sweater or jacket today. It doesn't seem fair that one area gets slammed so bad!

That is fricken miserable! We get so spoiled here that if we have 3 weeks af rainy days in a row people ***** and moan! I am off to San Diego tomorrow afternoon and the weather there is what it's all about, that's for sure!

If only there was a CSR member in San Diego that wanted some good wine and cigars for a short cruise... hmmmm

The snow is bad enough. But I feel for folks that have been without power through some of this! I don't mind clearing out, but being without heat, that is miserable!

UGH... Monday again, better get more gas for the snowblower!!!

GRRR, plow driver is playing chicken with my mailbox! Dude its OK the 12" you plowed into my driveway I'll clear it out in 10 mins!!! Really you don't need to get that close! I already got through the 4' drifts that mother nature left there!!!!

I can't be hearing right - they just said another 5-8" Monday?? I have pictures I want to post of the driveway but I'm just too tired to work on it.

Tom, my mailbox is leaning back too like a two day drunk :)

Boy, that is all we need is more to dig, albiet not much by comparison. Spent 6 hours digging out yesterday, Plow driver god loved em plowed a 5 ft wall in front of my driveway. No complaints though, they are working like dogs trying to keep up. One of my co-workers husband plows and she said she has not seen him in a week. He takes naps in the truck and then gets back at it. Thankless job.

I have a project in the panhandle of Florida and they were totally shut down for 1-2 inches of snow today!

I just finished my sidewalk. After shoveling and blowing out the entire court, I'm tired. 5-8 inches more? UNCLE !!!
My old lady neighbor who doesn't have a car chewed me out for not shoveling her drive.
I thought the guy in the wheelchair who may need EMS was a bit more important to have a pathway into his house.
FFx County schools is asking for help with their sidewalks. I want my kids back in school but that's what I pay taxes for. HeeHee.
Glad I brought my boat home to keep it clear. Sounds like lots of problems at marinas.
Now I can enjoy the keg I have on tap in my shed. Woo Hoo

This weather is relentless. We are running about 2 weeks behind on some of our big jobs we have going on. Loosing a day or two here and there isn't that bad, but this weather affects everything. Even UPS and USPS run a few days behind. It's a like a snow ball effect, and we just can't get ahead of it.

Maybe spring will be here sooner than we hope!!

I'm jones'n for summer too. I was just thinking about how much nicer splashing the boat is going to be. I don't think it's going to be as early as I want it though.

I went out today and people are just plain nuts for some reason. Border a$$holes. I guess all the road rage is pent up.

Here's my work for today. I got sick of hand carrying wood 200' at a time so I cut a path with the loader.

And in true Gunpowder Cove tradition... finish the work off right with a beverage!
