Hi all
Sundancer 280. After rain i get a small pool of water in the starboard side compartment with sliding door. The area where the glomex switch and outlet is. No where else. Thought maybe coming from the window right there but i dont see any drips or water marks showing intrusion. Any ideas. Nothing else seems wet.

Don't know exactly where your compartment is but usual suspects are windshield mount screws or stanchion screws.

I think by "sliding" he means the "tambour" doors in the galley.

You won't always see drips/water marks until it's been doing it for some time. Spray the window with a hose and observe. It could be as simple as the gasket needs to be cleaned and the 3 latches need to be tightened a bit (look closely at them - you'll see a small adjusting screw). Start with that, then move on to other things. But simulating rain usually makes it easy to figure out.

The oval widows are a good place to start. I had a 320 Sundancer and those windows had no seal. Loosen and caulk with 4200.

if you are away from boat when this happens you can leave small pieces of newspaper in strategic suspect spots, even tape them to places you think it might have come from but has dried up. the newspaper will tend to curl and discolor where it gets wet. If areas are flat you can also sprinkle talc powder around, this will leave a telltale trail .
