I have a laguna 20CC with dual in deck baitwells. I have not been able to get the pump to work properly to fill and pump out the baitwells. The pump works properly, and there is no restriction in the pickup or valves. Anyone with an idea where to look for a problem? I have them disconnected now and use them for fishwells and ice.

What type of pump is it?
Obviously it's a reversing type; if it won't empty the wells when they're full, and the motor is operating, the only thing I can think of is the pump impeller may be shot.

Do you have decent access to pull the pump?

Yes thanks , I do have very easy access to the baitwell reversing pump. It is a groco pump, and has a reversing switch on the top of the pump motor as well as a groco timer on the cc. I removed the timer, and was going to use the manual switch only, and even took the impeller apart, and it then ran, however, it still would not pump properly. I thought there may be a trick to it, but cant figure this one out. Thanks,

So, with the well full of water, and the pump head below the water level in the well (obviously), it won't even empty the well?

It's got to be the impeller- perhaps the impeller shaft has snapped (?). If you checked the impeller and it was fine, there's no reason it shouldn't move water. I'd pull the cover off the pump head, turn on the motor and visually confirm the impeller is spinning...

BTW- you posted this in the "Events" section... should have been in "Electrical".

Yea man, as you can see I am new to this. I will pull and check the impeller. Thanks, and I will keep u posted. C ya
