So my girl got a new bathing suit and didn't wash it first. So on the way home her suit stained the vinyl seats on my 185 sport. It was just he white part that got the marks. Anyone know of any products to use or how to get it out?

Try a Majic Eraser, it seems to remove most everything and not cause any damage to the seats, I have not tried it to remove dye like from the bathing suit, buit it sure does a great job on everything else, the Admiral swears by them.

On that type of stain, you may try a vinyl cleaner and then some sun.

I wouldn't scrub it with anything, just wash it with soap and water and a few trips on sunny days and it should just "bleach" out.

I think magic erasers are a dangerous item to have on a boat. Judging from the damage to the cedar trim in our home, from one enthusiastic swipe of said magic eraser, I have banned them from our boat (well, banned from the boat when we had one). It seems the cleaning they accomplish, while very effective, comes at the cost of removing several layers of the item being cleaned. I predict that using magic erasers on things like vinyl, gel coat, or canvas, will dramatically reduce the effective life of that area.

In the case of the stain -- what he said -- let the sun bleach it.

I am not sure the manufacture, but my Marina carries a product call SD-20, in can spray. This stuff works magic for me in cleaning and removing stains. It even got out a small red wine stain from my carpet.

You may want to think in terms of progression, rather than jump right to the Magic eraser. This the path I have done in the past, last year as a result of the d$mn Westmarine plastic bags with bleeding blue ink!

water and soap + sun bleaching
collonite vinyl cleaner/wax + sun bleaching
West marine (or other) vinyl cleaner + sun bleaching
Spray Nine (or other detergent) diluted 50% w/H2O + sun bleaching
Spray Nine straight
Magic eraser

Spray Nine might do it and it won't harm the vinyl. I used it a few weeks ago to remove a long ink mark from a ball point pen that was on my white seats. This is the best stuff I ever used for cleaning vinyl and that includes Magic Erasers as well. Plus it does a great job cleaning the non-skid gel coat too.

This is a timely post as my S-I-L wore a swim suit this weekend that left blue dye on my white seats. I tried vinyl cleaner, spray-nine,windex, & magic eraser with no luck. What is with the magic eraser...I do not see any damage to my seats after using it ? It does not feel abrasive or leave visible damage. I am going to try oxyclean next.

Spray 9 is great stuff and will remove most stains. I use it all the time for all kinds of things. I would follow up with a regular vinyl cleaner/conditioner after removing the tough stuff with Spray 9. Most vinyl cleaners/conditioners have protectants in them that treat the vinyl, Spray 9 will remove these protectants when you use it.
Magic eraser is slightly abrasive, but works well and is not abrasive enough to worry about for occassional use. Again, follow up with a regular vinyl cleaner/conditioner.
