All,
For the last few years we have done a bareboat charter in Maine.
This year, having trouble finding a boat. Its not scheduling, its a challenge finding a boat that is in the charter pool. The Charter company we have used in the past has been great, their PowerBoat fleet has dropped due to owners deciding to take boats out of charter or selling them. They have been creative in searching but haven't found any options for us.
There are a ton of Sailboats, several trawlers available. We are not sailors, nor do we want to motor along on a single engine at 8kts ( personal choice). We would like something in the 34ft + range, twin engines, a cruise speed of 15-20 knts.
We have great charter references ( Maine, Chesapeake, & Florida). Never had an incident or issue with care of the boat. Experienced with salt water bareboat up to 47'.
Does anyone have any ideas? Suggestions? Places to look?
