Help finding a transmission

Good afternoon all,

This is my firs post, and unfortunately is a plea for help. I recently purchased a 380 sundancer with 7.4L horizon 380 HP engines. On the trip home I got caught up in all the high water and flooding in upstate NY and ended up with a hard wheel strike on the port prop which intern took out the port transmission. Well that’s boating!! My plea for help is obtaining a replacement transmission their seems to be none left in captivity….. I need a Velvet Drive 2.5:1.0 Ratio model 20-02-005 New or Re-manufactured I’ll take what I can get…. Best I have found is 6 to 9 weeks out on anything including rebuilding the one I have.. Anybody have any suggestions or contacts of where I might get one quicker? Thanks in advance for the help

I'm now in the same boat (no pun intended). Different reasons, but same boat, same port tranny. I am seeking to repair/replace in the off-season. How did you make out?

Well........its been 6 weeks since the marina ordered a new transmission for me and still waiting I honestly don't know why this is taking so long to get a new transmission... my advice would be to order one as soon as possible one thing that I opted to do was to go with a brand new transmission so I would have the old one on-hand to be rebuilt my plan is to get it rebuilt and keep it for a spare good luck let us know how you made out
