I looked at these pics. Were they from your survey? If so, I'd question the use of a moisture meter over bottom paint which is not accurate.
The pics are from my surveyor yes.

Take your pick. The first two pages are full of them.
Has this boat had a water test yet? I see you put in some lights. You own the boat already, right?
So what you saying those readings are not good?
Not necessarily, it's just not the typical practice. Usually the surveyor will "sound" the hull with a phenolic mallet.
I wouldn't worry about trying to get freshwater cooling installed, just not worth it in my opinion. If the boat were new then yes, but that boat is 14yrs old, adding freshwater cooling at this point is not going to make any difference, plus it's not going to protect the real problem - the risers. So here is what I see as the bottom line - the boat was advertised with the wrong engine, you didn't catch that and bought it. Probably should have had a new survey done that you paid for and not relied on the dealership - but you didn't - your not the first person to buy a boat without a survey (a survey the dealer or seller gives you doesn't count). At this point you pretty much own the boat, you like the boat (it's a very nice boat - all this discussion aside), there is nothing wrong with the engine package in it, just not what was advertised. If it were me I would press the dealership to correct all the issues (which seem minor at this point) and maybe get a little $$ back on the deal. Then, quit worrying about the deal and go enjoy your new boat!
I'm sure you've heard why you don't add closed cooling to an old motor
the survey that was done in 2018 i had called that guy and i paid for him as for my bank and insurance both asked for a 3rd party survey. Im upset at him that he didn't even catch the issue that the sales add had 6.2 Horizon, however he did write down in the survey that it is a 350 MAG so he is kinda off the hook.
So the 2018 survey was done for you and you had a copy before you finalized the deal? And that survey odorrectly identified the motor? If I were the dealer I’d admit to the mistake in the listing, but point out that your due diligence correctly identified the motor, so you shouldn’t have been surprised when it arrived.
The rust that's flaking off the inside of your raw water block will plug up the heat exchanger in short order. No i have not. Engine has about 300 hrs
