I received the estimate for my vinyl today. About $6000 for entire cockpit. The captains chair was $1100 of this. I was thinking of using the $1100 to buy an aftermarket one. I have seen some nice ones as low as $400. Haven't seen a sea Ray direct replacement. Any suggestions? Budget is $1100 but would like to spend less. Might go with this one.

Seems a bit high. Even out here that job is that or less. I am going to get estimates from car upholstery places since I can pull all pieces out of the boat. The captain's chair vinyl is in decent shape, just sun burned a bit. I am going to try dye first on that. There's a ton of detail work in those helm chairs so I imagine the price for that is pretty close.

That quote is more the 2X my cost here for replacing all the cockpit vinyl in my 450, including the embroidered "Sea Ray" on the seat back, the helm chair and the side panels.

I failed to mention that the price includes foam. I am to rebuild the wooden pieces not them. I have had work done by them before. They do a lot of mega yachts and the work is second to none but price seems higher than usual. Side note: I had a company come out yesterday to template the entire cockpit and swim platform to install seadek faux teak.

I just recovered all our side panels myself. A little time consuming, used about $300. worth of vinyl. Used electric staple gun and Monell staples. Hardest part was removing the 1000 staples Sea Ray used. We did have a professional do the cushions, about $1200.

I have the identical boat to yours, and I was quoted around $5,000 for the entire cockpit without the captains chair. So that price sounds somewhat accurate from my own experience.

Change of plans. Found new company to do seats. Chose all sunbrella. Going to start this week. Will keep you posted. Thank you for the offer on the helm. No longer needed. Better price and they are excited to do it.
