Drumbum, we kind of have a rule on here that without pictures it didn't happen. That is said jokingly, but we all do like to see pics of people's boats, them using the boat and where they do their boating.

And before you do that, welcome to CSR!

Thanks so much guys for the welcome!!! ;) Here are some pictures of her. :) I'm new to the boating world, but she looked pretty clean to me for a 2007. She's got 127 hours on her and the lower unit looks great. Can't wait to get her in the water….just brutal going outside and seeing her sitting in the driveway!!! :(

Welcome - boat looks very clean from the pictures, like the blue!. These small SeaRays are just great little boats, simple, easy to work on (when they rarely need anything). My 1999 185 has 600hrs and has been pretty solid. If you don't know the maintenance history it could be time for a few maintenance things, maybe water pump impeller and fluid / filter changes.

I hear you on the waiting for winter to end - I dry store my boat and typically winterize and store it late Nov - mid Mar. This winter has been particularly long and code. I'm ready for spring!

Thanks Bill for the heads up! From what I'm reading it should be replaced every couple of years? Supposedly Marine Max where I purchased the boat has all of the service records as the previous owner purchased it new from them in 2007. I haven't received copies from them yet. I will be touching base with them Monday to see when the last time it was serviced.

I second replacing the impellers... It's just cheap insurance.

What a clean boat! hope you use it every weekend this summer!

Some people do it every year, but really 2-3yrs is more the norm. I have found that even after 3yrs my impeller is still in pretty good shape. The Alpha I Gen II impeller is known for being very durable. The one downside is the impleller in in the outdrive, so there is some disassembly required to replace it and it can't be done with the boat in the water. If you are a DIY you will find the carbureted 4.3 and Alpha I outdrive very easy to work on. I actually have my outdrive sitting in my garage right now, brought it home over the winter to do the impeller service.

Not to get too deep into a maintenance conversation on your introduction, but you are going to really enjoy the simplicity and reliability of that boat and engine package.

Realizing you have the option of putting in anywhere, where do you think you'll be boating most? Lake Lanier is the biggest lake, but can also be pretty busy.

I live really close to the Little River Marina I'm about 5 minutes from the ramp. Most days will be Allatoona, but will be skiing for the most part at Lanier.
