I bought my first Sea Ray last summer (2012) - it's also my very first boat!

I boat on Lake St. Clair too - where are your favorite spots?

So far been hanging out with friends around Poor Mans & Strawberry. Have to explore a lot more this coming year.

Welcome. We love those places. If you check out Ford Mansion or Art Vans brware. I did $10, 000 damage to my outdrive due to a huge rock. Enjoy. Get a few coats of wax on here now if you can. I doubt you'll want to mess with that next spring ;)

Eameam, would that be Poor Mans Yacht Club? The admiral and I lived at 21 and Gratiot and spent a lot of time out there. Glen Horning and his dad would have us come there for many events including the roast at the end of the year. We spent much time in the 70's working on the place and having a good time. Deckers landing, Strawberry, etc. ah memories.

When people leave out "YC", they mean an anchorage area north of MacRay Harbor's breakwall and in-between the entrance channels. It's called that because MacRay's fees are so high that the members can't afford to leave the channel of the marina before dropping anchor.

I could not remember a marina with that name so I looked it up. WOW WEE, I'm quite sure that wasn't there when we lived there. Looks nice and expensive. Thanks for letting me know.

Ahh the wonderful splendor of Lake St. Clair...

Be careful. She's addicting!

Welcome to CSR! I just completed my 2nd season on LSC. You will love it! Poor Mans and Strawberry are nice, but Muscamoot and Munchies are the main anchoring spots. Warmer water and less current. The Lake has a lot of shallow areas to be aware of. Thx to magstang1...I'm learning how to safely navigate the Lake and avoid running aground. I still stir up mud once in awhile though. We spent a lot of time docking at Metro and enjoying the park, eating at Brown's on the Middle Channel, There is also Goose Bay and Gull Island....so many great places. Hopefully we'll see you out there in the Spring!

Troy,

We are planning to on keeping our boat at Belle Maer this coming year. Where do keeps yours?

Welcome to the lake! You're not alone in being excited for summer. Winter lay up is always a dark day. There's never a dull day around here. Maybe we'll meet up. I live at the top of the lake.
