RiverRat- Really like the boat, that's what I want someday.
Chuch1- I like some of the options you've added,I want to get the enclosure since we plan on camping, Got a few question if you don't mine. I like the grill, I couldn't tell by the pic but how is that mounted? What all does the dockside controller do for ya? Are both of these options from sea Ray?
Thanks

My someday came yesterday... That's when I got my 280!

Ok I'm jealous,
But for were we live this has been the perfect boat, But I can always deam for bigger and better.

Ameno, where do you usually boat at?

We have five lakes close by here, I've been using DeGray, Hamilton and quachita. But got tired of pulling the boat so I've just got a slip on lake Ouchita. It's one of the best lakes around.

No they are not options from Sea Ray. The shore power allows me to run the Bilge Heater, Chargers, etc at the dock. Plus it give me power when I'm at the marina. I think you can see how the grill is mounted on my web page. It is a mount by magma, plus I have the extension rod to put the grill out over the swim platform. The full enclosure is the way to go. I can boat year round with it. The joke at the dealer when I purchased it was that I was turning the 240SD into the 240 cruiser:lol:

That looks like the way to go, I did check out some of the grills and mounts from the online store here, We would like to set up so we can go camping and not have to leave the boat. I'll have the boat in a slip year round but will have to winterize soon, Thats why I was asking about the shore power, Do you still have to winterize between trips or does the belge heat take care of that?

The only thing I winterize is the fresh water system. The bilge heater works great. I boat year round. Have some pictures on my website boating in Ice on Lake Chatuge in North GA. Took them Feb-2007. Great day on the lake and when I went up river ran into a whole section of ice about 1" thick across the lake. May also want to look into an inverter. Works great to be able to run the blender when you are on the hook or I can run a small heater when I boat in the winter.

Thanks for all the great info:thumbsup: I've always had boats but nothing like this one so I have a lot to learn, I really hated the idea of winterizing and not being able to use the boat for months, I will look into a bilge heater (never new there was such thing) and the inverter. It would be great to just jump in the boat and take off in mid winter. Now if I can just figure a way to get my boat to Flordia for one of these bahama cruises:smt017
