Hello CSR!
I'm Jeff from NS, and we are just finishing up the bosses boat.
It's a 04 Sundancer 390, it had the Mercruiser 496ci engines and a Kohler gen set. We converted it to 6.7 Cummins and a Cummins gen set, so now he is burning diesel. It now has automaskin engine control panels and run from a key fob, along with some new electronics. It was a good sized winter project and we are excited to get it in the water.
I figured I would make a profile and an introduction post as I am still looking to finish a few things off before sea trials. Here are a couple photos of the work below, because without photos it didn't happen.

Quite the undertaking!

Welcome to CSR!

Any change of transmissions/ratio, shafts or props?

I love the Red Cummins!

Did you do all the work yourself?

thanks, yes, other than the final hookup of the electronics, everything was done ourselves

yes, the trans ratios are now 2-1, we are running 1 3/4 aquamet shafts and new props as well tuned at 480hp now. Haha I agree, it was an expensive bit of work just to get away from gas.
It was a good project though, Ill post some photos of the dash, and some custom work I put in, and whatever else I can.

Thanks everyone, I'm happy with the results so far. Here are a few more photos. The dash with the simrad installed, engine control panels, and the new control head in the mount I made up. It was a lot of work and as you can imagine everything was moved and adjusted. I also know where there is 2 8.1s with transmissions, a gen set, navigation system, control heads, all the wiring and anything else someone might need

How do you like that control location? It looks quite high and tight to your seated position?

Nice. Jeff where is she going to be run? I lived in Halifax for ten years so I know the province pretty well. Pretty challenging recreational boating unless your boss is on the Bras d’or lakes or maybe Mahone Bay. That’s a real ocean up there.

Nice, it is a bit of a challenge. So the boat came from Bedford and he is going to use it mostly in the Bras d'or lake, with trips to Dartmouth planned.

Beautiful area. Would love to get my boat there!

My Mom's side of the family, originally from Newfoundland, all spent most of their lives in Cape Breton in North Sydney. Her ashes are on Kelly's Mountain. I have one uncle left there. He lives near the Seal Island Bridge. My three sisters were all born in Dartmouth while my Dad was in the Navy.

We try to get there every other summer, and to New Waterford to visit friends that live there.

We took our boat from Charlottetown to North Sidney and back. Steamed for 52 hrs. @ weeks on the water. Best vacation ever.
