Hello fellow Sea Ray boaters. I'm a new member, I love all of the solid information here! My wife and I purchased our 4th Sea Ray last June. A 2001 340 Sundancer. I'll try to include a photo, I just learned to use my 8 track. We had it trucked from San Diego to Discovery Bay. Were having the bottom painted and the port engine manifold replaced. The question is, boot stripe or no boot stripe?

Pictures! Love the 340 of that era, one of my favorites. Yes, keep the bootstripe, but maybe do away with the gold, I've seen a lot of people go black and silver or black and black.

Thank you, Happy Dayz. Sarasota looks like an excellent spot for boating! Photos to follow, it will require bribing my son or power groveling to my wife. I may be taking that big step into the world of cassettes.

Welcome to the Club... JMO but I would replace and retain the boot stripe. We have a new supporting vendor on our site who does this.

Greetings Carpe Diem. We will be at Benicia Yacht Club the weekend of July 12th for a DBYC cruise out. The boot stripes look better, I like the longevity of not having one.

Dan, good to hear from you. Willow Berm is an excellent marina, some of the nicest docks on the delta. We will be returning the weekend of September 27th for a DBYC cruise out.

Yes on boot stripe. it should be placed a few inches above the water line. If you don't see it, you're sinking!
