Welp, another hobby, another 5 forums to join:grin:

I've been boatless since I sold my 85 Glastron 175 (the best damn $5000 boat anyone ever had...drove the hell out of it 5 years, always started first turn, sold for $4000...the "Before Kids" boat) when my kids were babies. I knew it wouldn't be used much until the kids were older. Well, now they are!

After much grinding of teeth over Craigslist idiots, I've done my research and I'm concentrating on 2000-2004, 20-22' bow-riders. I like the interior option with the starboard bucket with the flip-up bolster and the port back-to-back seating. Looks like the 5.0 injected motor is the most common power plant. I like the layout, the stereo in the storage compartment, the storage and the looks.

I'm concerned about the "touch" switch control panel vs. good old toggles, and how useful the drivers remote control is for the radio...but that's about all I'm worried about. That and doing a decent survey by myself, since all the shops, that are left, are booked solid until mid-July for used boat evaluations...:smt013

Any advice or experiences with similar year / size bow-riders is welcome! I'll mainly be in inland lakes...plenty in the Sierra foothills near me (Roseville is the toenails of the Sierra Nevada foothills, near Sacramento) and in the Sacramento river delta...maybe even out into the bay. Options are good around here.

Hi and welcome

Sounds like a good choice of boat to me ..
