Anybody know the exact height of a 2007 200 Sundeck while its on the trailer? Do you garage it? If so, what is the height of the lowest point of your garage?

I recently bought this boat and it's going to be real close as to whether it fits in my garage. I wont know for a few days since we gotta move a bunch of exercise equipment out of the garage and also finish remodeling our attic so we can returns items there too.

Welcome,
I can't answer your question on a 200 but my 220 will fit in the garage but I must take it off the truck and push in using a dolly.

There are 2 standard garage heights. Some are 6'6" others are 7'. Larger height are also becomming more common.

Do you have to take your bimini off or down to get it in your garage? I know my 240 would never fit in the garage even with the bimini off/down to tall and way to long even if it had a fold out tonge.

Bimini would have to be off or laid down. Usually I would do this anyway because if the boat is at home it means I would be trailering 40 miles at speeds up to 60mph.

My garage is detached 24' wide x 30' deep so depth is not a problem. with the hitch folded in the boat is right at 23'.

Nice garage. I need one that size :smt001 Hmm I trailed 100+ miles at 70 with the bimini up (closed of course) without a problem.

Does anyone have more info. on the dolly? This is something I may need to do, especially since my garage is on a slight incline. I'm also going to take it in and ask the dealer if they could modify the trailer so the boat sits a little bit lower. It looks like maybe I could push the bunks out a little bit to accomplish this.

If you get it too low you will have trouble with speed bumps, low curbs and you won't be able to allow your stern down when the boat is parked. :smt017

Sorry for all of the newbie questions... I'll get this stuff figured out soon, I promise (with your help) :)

Should I be putting my drive down whenever its parked? Let me give you my scenario: In the summer I plan on parking in the driveway quite a bit. My driveway is slightly inclined so I cant put the drive all the way down . When I dont plan on going out for a couple of days or more I will park it in the garage, in which case I would be able to put the drive down.

So I guess I have two questions:

1. When stored in the garage should I put the drive down? I'm sure the answer is yes to this.

2. When in the driveway, should I lower it as much as possible or since it wont go down all the way, will it even matter?

Am I being too paranoid about all of this or are these valid concerns?

It is recommended to store the boat with the drive down to keep the bellows flat as possible. The bellows is the rubber gasket material between your stern drive and the motor keeping water out. Like all gasket material over time it can be come cracked and should be check at your annual service.

There are a number of folks that don't store their drives down when parked and have said they have not had any issues. It's open to individual interpretation. Since I can, I do keep my drive down when parked. Gives me peace of mind to at least think I am doing it right.

define slight incline. 1 inch per 10 feet? 1 foot per 10 feet? Down to the garage or down to the street. Your incline is bad enough that you can't put the drive down? My drive will touch the ground on a level drive with the trailer tounge all the wall up for draining.

I wouldn't move my supports out. check how close your keel already is to the trailer. Usually it is only an inch or so.

I got my dolly from Habor Frieght. [urlhttp://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=37510]Click Here[/url] - I only paid around $30 on sale. I have also see some in in the Pep Boys ad. These aren't the welded version but they do the job I need.
