Jimmy Buoy, read another thread that you posted in regarding draining. You mentioned 2 drain plugs, one on each side of the block. If I look under there, will they be obvious or are they hidden away?

I haven't done it but from prior research I believe they are situated in from the engine mounts. The merc manual shows their placement.

I looked at the parts diagram but hard to tell exactly where. I'll look for them tomorrow.

You should be able to find threaded plugs in the side of the engine block below the exhaust manifolds. They may be hard to locate and get a wrench on. There may also be threaded plugs near the oil filter adaptor that tap into the engine oil passages. Try not to remove them.
