Head (vacu-flush) wont flush and Fresh Water systems spurts water

Yes, they are not connected in any way inside the tank. Is the sender low enough that the fitting will clear it as it swings?
The sender appears low enough so that I can swing the fitting

Lazy Daze:
I was able to get the fitting loose and pull it out of the water tank. Below are some pictures of it. The pickup tube fits into the elbow. I am not sure how. It may be glued in place.
There is a crack about 1.5 inches long in the top of the elbow fitting.
I am trying to find the replacement part but NO ONE seems to have this part.
The names on the PVC parts are as follows:
Elbow: name on it says "SPEARS" and (possible) part # is RJ6P2
Pickup: Thompson Flow Guard 1/2 inch

Any ideas where I can find the replacement parts(s)??????

OR, do I have to get creative and build a new one from parts from a hardware store?

Good - the rest is actually MUCH easier than you're thinking. That is not actually a "part" that's available as you have it. It never was. It was assembled from off-the-shelf parts so you'll do the same. The tube is glued into the elbow. It's CPVC, as opposed to regular PVC and is slightly more flexible than PVC and also tolerates higher temps, although the latter doesn't really matter. It has a slightly yellow color to it rather than the stark white that PVC has. But don't worry, it's still a VERY commonly available thing found in HD or Lowes stores. The elbow is another simple thing - it's just a 1/2" male to female elbow.

You'll need the elbow, the tube and the glue. If you're still not sure, just take it with you to HD or a local hardware store. They'll have everything and can walk you through how to glue it, as well (which is also simple, basic plumbing).

Sounds good..... THANKS for your help! I will keep you posted.

That part is known as a "street el" (elbow). Very common part. And, as @Lazy Daze noted, it's a made-up part to incorporate the pickup tube. Easy-peezy.

LOL..... this REALLY was a bandaid approach by the previous owner.

SUCCESS!!!!!!!
WATER: I bought the PVC and CPVC parts. I had to sand down the 1/2 inch CPVC tube so it so it would fit into the 1/2 inch elbow fitting. Then I glued the tube into the elbow and installed it into the water tank.
At first, the system would not run water thru the faucets. The pump was running and I heard gurgling sounds but No flow.
Long story short, the PVC fitting at the elbow at the tank was not tight enough. Once I tightened that fitting, the system now flows as it should.

HEAD: The Head seems to be working so far. I may have to address that at a later date but it's OK for now

Thanks for your help!!!!

Good deal!

I believe, if memory serves, the OD of CPVC and PVC are slightly different so that's probably what gave you that little hiccup. But you got it done!

I reread my post...... Actually it was the PEX pipe that was loose in the PEX fitting, not the PVC component.... Anyway tightening that PEX connection solved my issue
