My Head System breaker is tripping on occasion. I can hear the pump cycling and the lights in the cabin dim until the pump is done cycling. Any thoughts or reccomendations? Thanks.

Todd,
To better help you out, what type of head system do you have? If vacu-flush this might be answered in the plumbing forum. Check there and if no results reply back with more details on your head system or what's happening to your breaker panel.

Good luck...

Dan

It is a vacuuflush unless the boat was ordered with the international package on it.

You likely have either a bad electrical connection to the vacuum pump (most probably a corroded butt splice), a failing vacuum pump motor, or the diaphram on the vacuum pump is binding.

Its not the end of the world if you can get to the pump.....a complete new pump is about $225 from several online sources, and on a 12 year old boat, that is probably how I'd fix it.
