I'm trying to find the head overboard discharge valve on my 2006 280 (dual engines). I checked the manual, but the only thing there (in the location in the manual) is the generator sea cock. The boat has a macerator, but I can't see lines leading overboard from that or the tank itself. I'm having the new-to-me boat inspected by the USCG Auxiliary this Saturday and need to show them the valve....and that it is closed. Thanks, Andy, Liquid Diet 280, San Francisco

Are you sure you have a macerator? Could you be confusing it with the pump for the VacuFlush system? The seacock would definitely be located in the floor of the bilge. Also, the macerator would be plumbed up to the holding tank and the hose to the seacock would be plumbed to the macerator. I think you may be confusing the VacuFlush pump, along with possibly an (unused) "macerator" label in the head for an actual macerator. Based on what you've written, it sounds as if you don't have a macerator.
