Hi, my forward hatch is leaking. It's not the rubber seal that blocks water when I close the glass portion. It seems to be coming from the hatch itself. Problem is I took all the screws off and the thing won't come off. I tried both the inside and outside screws. How hard should I try to pry this thing off. I hope I'm explaining this right since I'm new to boating.

Does anyone know how to get the hatch assembly off or what might be keeping stuck on there even with all the screws off?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Try a thin, wide paint scraper and gently push it under the outer perimeter of the hatch to cut the foam tape that they used to seal the hatch to the deck.

Try tightening the screws on the handles first, the vibrate loose sometimes

Thanks for the welcome!

Wow, all good solutions. First I will try tightening, then try to pry the hatch off with suggestions posted. Unfortunately, won't be able to do anything till spring:smt009

I will post technique and results to help others once I get it done.

"fishing wire", I like it!

also the o rings in the handle dryout and leak .and the plexiglass can come loose from its bed also ,for this you need to have a auto glass company cut the plexi out very carefully so it dosent get scratched, and rebed it with a good uv urethane adhesive.Might be a good time to get new plexiglass if yours is getting those little cracky looking things in them.If you opt for a putty knife to remove the hatch tape a two inch wide area off a couple layers thick with blue painters tape to keep from scratching your gelcoat.

Google Bomar home page; click on tech tips and read all about replacing and installing hatches.
