Hatch Handles

1988 Sea Ray 270,,, Three hatches, One big two small. the handles Are in bad shape, but the hatch is in great shape. I called Taylor Made Systems, who made the hatches for parts. They stated the parts were obsolete? That i needed new hatchs? What is everybody else doing?

I'd like to know this too as the screw 'stops' on mine no longer hold the hatches open. I tried loosening them up with kroil but the little wheel turns without loosening the actual set screw.

I ran into the same problem. I ended up replacing the big hatch (I have a thread somewhere here) and I was able to adapt the risers(??) that I got from WM. The handles from the big hatch I used on the smaller hatches.

Thanks for everybodys help. Turned out the Marine Max dealer in Port Clinton, on Lake Erie found the handles for me in their old stock. GREAT!!

I sent the handles to the Marine Max dealer in Port Clinton, Ohio. A guy in parts named Craig researched it and found mine. He might be able to help you. by the way this guy was real helpfull and seemed like a real Sea Ray guy. Couldnt thank him enough!
