I was looking at covering my swim platform and lounge area with this closed cell eva and wondered if anyone has?
The surface is a kind of fiberglass no skid finish now so it is not flat. wondered about putting this faux teak on top?

Yup - it's actually become almost commonplace for this stuff. Has even been an option from Sea Ray for a number of years, now. The non-skid is nothing to worry about - I've installed it on countless boats, both "sand" non-skid and diamond pattern. It will stick just fine.

Try searching for "Seadek" (also spell it 'seadeck')- you should be able to find quite a few threads about this (with pictures, too) for more information.

Bill Collector and 370Dancer... very nice work with the Ebay teak... I also brought this Ebay teak and made the patterns but haven't installed the teak yet. Is your contact adhesive backing working without peeling? Did you use any other adhesive with the film adhesive already on the teak?

Besides the preparation (sanding, cleaning with acetone/alcohol), was there any other preparation to get it to stick semi permanently? I'm sure it'll peel at some point. I will follow some of the edging as seen in some of the others like SeaDek, etc. Will post some pics later as the weather here is too cool/wet to install.

ordered from Aqua Tech Marine out of Georgia. Had the template for my 1996 370 Sundancer $2100 for cockpit and both swimming platforms

Ha! Go looking for my posts from 2003 when I originally got Beach House II. An errant tie up by a marina hand snapped the port side off before we took delivery. After negotiating with another CSR member, I had a couple of pairs made out of fiberglass, one for me and one for him. Meanwhile, the same yard fiberglass guy offered to non-skid the flat part, and I found the same vent that is in the front of the 370 passenger seat for the ice maker was a perfect fit to go over the bilge vent holes. I bent it around a standard piling, and that was the curve! West Marine, 11 bucks each.
I never re-installed the vent covers because that is a perfect mid step, which we have used almost daily since 2003, depending on the tide, and the dock we are at. One of the best mods I've ever done to the boat.

Surface prep as you described and once down it sticks like the dickens... I did tape off the f-teak and the exposed white gelcoat leaving room for a bead of black 4200 to make sure the edges were dressed and would not peel up. And thanks...

All of those installs look fantastic. Very tempted to order a set. It looks like eBay has them for my 330 as well as Aqua Tech. The Aqua Tech has the nice edging on the panels.

For those that have installed already, how has it worn? Any concerns so far? I have heard that the adhesive makes EVA really hard to replace/remove later.
