Hi All,
I am trying to find a way to mount a GPS in my 175 Sport however I can't find a place that has enough clearance due to the windshield....Has anyone mounted a GPS in a 175 Sport?

Thanks!
Andrew

I have a 185 and used a ram mount attached to dash fiberglass. it comes out just far enough to clear the steering wheel and I can adjust its position as needed.
Been very happy with that setup.

Hi jeff,
Do you have a picture...What GPS unit did you use? Also where/what is the RAM mount?

Ram mounts are a brand of mount. Jim at BOE, the host of our site can help you with all of your questions for both GPS and mounts. Check them out. MM

I installed the gps to the left of the steering wheel, but didn't like it there. I moved it to the right where it's easily to see protected by the windshield. The ram mount makes it easy to adjust.. viewing angle is important in direct sunlight. I also like swinging the unit away from the dash when cleaning the dash board.... Here are some pics:

I have a 185 and have it mounted exactly like Jeff's. It is a little difficult to read the far right gauge, but overall I think it's the best solution.
