Hard to find stainless snaps

Wher can you find snaps and other canvas attachment points not readily available at West Marine?

Looking especially for an online merchant as West Marine is about the only boat store chain in The Northern Mass/New Hampshire area. The local true value stores dont have them either.

After buying snap parts from several online retailers, I discovered that many are low grade stainless and are inferior in quality to what I needed. I found that you can now buy direct from Scovill Mfg. Co. They have been in the fasteners business for years and years and are kind of the gold standard for quality. Here is their website:

This screen is for just the sockets. If you back up to the products page, you will see they have very kind of fastener known to man. The only down side of dealing with them is the minimum order size is a little high for most people, but, the upside of that is that you will likely never have to buy snaps again!
