We attended the event via the boat this year. Normally, I avoid the 300,000 + people and head for the hills ! But by boat, it wasn't so bad.
We eat well--Coast Guard rescue demo's, tall ships, fireworks, sunsets..

Thanks!! Looks like a great time. Are you at anchor the whole event or at a mooring. Not at all familiar with the event or harbor. Can you dingy in or get a shuttle to tour the ships?

Water taxi's and dingy's can get you to shore. You can stay on the hook or poke around. It's a Huge no wake area, for miles. Just don't get to close to the tall ships, and definitely don't approach the navy vessels
