Were living now in queens 45 min away...:smt009

I' d love to go the the site where Hidden Harbor is by boat but not sure how to go, just to take a peek...

AAHHH......Queens.......I grew up in queens...long long ago in the town now known as Flu-Shing ......( aka Flushing ). My wife and I still commute there daily......its just not the same.

To get to H/H by boat is a bit tricky......its the canal off the east side of Copiague Harbor....If you would like I could show you.........let me know.

YES....Maybe you could come aboard one day and take us.. I'LL PM YOU OUR E- MAIL ADDRESS.... Yesterday my Testosterone got the best of me and i decided to man up and take her out in the wind on my very first time without supervision..:smt021. We got her out of the dock and into the harbor via a few scary moments. We got as far as the second set of buoys and were too nervous to go forward without the chance of being aground somewhere, so we made a U-turn and came back in. The water was very choppy...and we were very nervous, but in control...when we got into the marina area i had a few close calls with the wind pushing me one way and i wanting to go the other. My wife pat was wonderful in being there to guide me in with her eyes and lookout..i came close to a few boats but my gal Pat pushed us off, before any damage could be done to anyone's boat or our own boat. The boat performed wonderfully, but my Pat was my right arm, without her helping me, it would have been a major gel coat day.... I LEARNED A VERY BIG LESSON....... LEAVE THE TESTOSTERONE HOME AND ERR ON STAYING IN ON WINDY DAYS.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

LOL.....thats funny....but so true. We've all been there. I have a scratch on my hull to show for it.....my wife calls it a " docking tattoo ". They say thats the best time to " practice "....is when its windy. Too scarry !

Not a problem.....if you would like me to show you around out there......its not that bad :) :)

See you soon !
