First trip this Spring in New England. I took my boys over to Hyannis Port for the day.

We shoved off from Mattapoisett, cross Buzzard's Bay, shot through Woods Hole, then across Nantucket Sound to Hyannis Port.

The ride out was so calm, the waters were just amazing. Of course, my crew needed to rest up for all the play time they were about to have.

Just had to have some fried clams at Baxters in Hyannis Port

Then onto the beach by Egg Island where the horseshoe crabs were abundant:thumbsup:

Then there is the ever busy channel with all the ferries running back and forth to the islands.

Alas, time to head back. But not until after the seas had kicked up. The winds moved around to the south west, which brought some 4 foot rollers at us on the ride home. :smt038

We too had a great day in the same area! We were going from the Canal and heading to Woods Hole for lunch, than saw how calm and nice it was, decided to go to Oak Bluffs. What a great way to start the season! What a day....Maybe we will see you out there sometime

Got a little choppy coming across Buzzards Bay from Bassetts yesterday around 3PM. That nice polish and wax didn't look as good as when we left.

You can say that again! I hit a couple of 6 footers out there among that. At one point we had a following sea off the port quarter and we were surfing with the breakers...nothing like having 15' of bow on a 26' boat hanging out over the crest of wave 6' off the trough. Yeehaa...

Hey Chuck... It wasn't the wind that kicked up those 6' rollers... It was Capecodcruiser on his waverunner about 10 miles away. :smt043

Hey Ski, now that you mention it, I wondered if that was me!!!!!!!(gotta love that picture heh???)

Looks like a good time was had by all. Thanks for posting.
