My favorite!

Respectfully disagree. In the US, we begin with everything being legal. If it isn't expressly prohibited, it is perfectly legal. Governments do not confer benefits, they enact restrictions. As a free man, you begin unrestricted.

Perhaps a minor issue, but important to me.

In simple, stupid terms: "legal is legal" and "illegal is illegal". Legislate the "legal" and your left with "illegal". Duh!!! There is no more common sense.

I have never purchased a firearm for someone I do not know. ( I have 17 firearms) But if the right deal came along and I could confirm that the firearm was not stolen or had ben used in the comission of a crime I would not have any reservations in doing so.

I think we agree more than you think. I probably didn't express myself succinctly (which happends more than not). The way I took the story was that guns are easily available whether legal or not. To legislate that all internet gun sales are illegal is not going to stop the already illegal sales.

I had a Glock 23 that was stolen from me that traveled from PA to TX for 5 years. The perp was caught in TX and possesion of a weapon by a felon and the fact it was worth over $400 (stolen property) got him an extra 10 years in prison. It was a traffic stop/tail light out that got him pulled over. After the trial they shipped my back my gun. I'm sure it saw some action but I'm glad it's back. It's not the guns fault if it was used in a crime. Some people thought I should of had it destroyed!.....Nope she's back with me and carried when needed. The funny part was I had to buy it back from the insurance company at wholesale and do another background check on the gun I owned! My insurance company had bought me a new one under my replacement policy so I owed them some $$$, Mike.
