I have a 2000 270DA. I cannot decide where to mount a grill. The port side is no good because the fuel fill is there, and the starboard side is no good because with my cockpit table in place, there is no way to get to it. Any suggestions?

I have a dock neighbor with your boat. he mounted it on the top transome locker port side.

Search "grill install" and check out Todd's pedestal mount setup. The mount base is under the swim step hatch. I installed the same setup and it works great, especially at dock in close quarters.

Wow, I really like that setup. especially the mount you put in the engine room to stow it. Thanks for that, I will be copying you!

The pedestal mounts look great. I went a different direction - I bought a mounting bracket at West Marine that attacheds to the small handle on the transom locker and extends out over the swim platform. No drilling required.

I have the same boat as Chris and have the same problem about figuring out where to mount a grill.
The pictures of Nehalennia's setup aren't showing any more (at least for me), but it sounds like a cool solution. Any chance they can be reposted?
Bport - is this the mount you got for your grill?

I was thinking of mounting it on the transom locker rail too, but am concerned about the hot grill being to close to someone seated at the cockpit table (back to the transom locker). Not sure if the above mount extends far enough away from the seat.

Anyone have any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I mounted mine also on the extended swim platform under the swim ladder hatch. Works great. You can see it in my avatar pic.

I just fixed the links to my original install.

Great! Thanks! Looks awesome. Our ladder is in the middle of the platform. I'll check to make sure the grill wouldn't be too close to the transom door, but I think it should work. Thanks again!
