Does anyone have any pictures of a gas grills or for that matter any grill mounted on a sportboat like a sundeck or other. Looking for ideas..

Here is how I have mine mounted.

The way Chuck mounted his is the way I mounted mine on my 230 and it worked great that way. That small mount really works well and stays out of the way.

I installed that same pedestal base on my 260DA under the swim step lid.

I have two sets of grab handles on the back of my 270 SLX. One set above the swim platform and one mounted right onto the back of the swim platform. I mount to either but if I mount to the one at the back of the platform, anything I drop falls into the drink.

What happens to the grease fallout on these? Are they kept inside the grill or does it splatter/drip on your boat?

We usually grill at the dock, then reheat on the hook. Nice to grill in realtime though.

Most of the grease lands in the grill's drip pan but mine is situated where any drips outside of the pan will land in the lake.

I also line the drip pan with tinfoil and toss it after each use.

This is a nice simple set up, I can't tell but is this a gas grille. Also if you don't mind me asking where did you buy the grille and mount hardware. And I assume you can take it down with ease when you start to move..
Thanks in advance
And thanks all for the input! This is an great website...:smt038

Thanks for the comment. Yes it is a gas grill, just does not have the small bottle hooked up when I took the pictures. It is a standard Magma grill and mounting hardware. On our boats we need it out just a little bit more than the standard arm. You may not notice it, but there is an extension arm at the end of the standard arm. Yes very easy to take down and store. Pull one small pin. I do have the standard storage bag to put it in.

Magma is the way to go. I've had one for almost 10 years. I just keep transferring it from boat to boat. I've used various mounting methods over the year. They've got all kinds of mounts from numerous socket styles to rail mount to fishing rod holder mounts.

these are pretty nice set ups but I just used a west marine purchased holder and mounted mine to the bimini top ... and it hangs over the starboard outboard side of the boat (away from gas cover).

I was all set to get a nice magma grill for xmas...I decided no go. Just no place to put it on my boat afterwards when we have people out. We wakeboard, so most of the storage is taken up by equipment and belongings on our smaller boat.

Kinda want it, but the reality for us is it will be too frikkin messy and in the way :-(

Chuck, found your post re portable grills. Wonder who makes the model in your post, and where to buy? Did you install the mount in the rail?

Ahem... read his post #12 or my post #13... :smt001

They should be readily available at any good marine store. Google it, you'll find it available many places.

Read? Why? I just look at the pictures!

Just kidding, I was so focused on the the picture, I did'nt read the post.

My appologies to the "search 1st crew"

No problem. I hope you know I only meant it as a joke!:smt001

Seriously though, check out magma's website. They have many mounts. magmaproducts.com

The one I like is the one that works with the "fish-on" type sockets. They can come in white with a nice rubber cap. Nothing sticks up when you're not using the grill - it's a flush mount (sticks up about 1/4"). This enables the grill to hang out over the side of the boat.

Yea, I get jokes, I know its frustrating to post the same info over and over. I did it half right, searched first, but didnt read the post. I was laughing at myself.

Checked out the Magma website and am thinking about the pole mount if the pole and mount can be used for a small table in when the grill is not in use? Of course I have to see everything in person first, so a trip to a marine store is in order.
