Hi all- someone suggested the tantalizing idea of a grill for my 230 bowrider. But, I don't have any rod holders on the boat, which appears to be the mounting mechanism for a lot of boat grills.

anyone have any ideas or experience?

There are lots of ways to mount a grill. Look under my pics and you will see how I did it on my 240.

We've used the rail mounts on previous boats. Currently have one mounted on a pedestal on the swim grid that works well too. Let's see some pics of yer boat. Maybe someone'll come up with a different idea. Did ya get a bimini? We know a couple who overnight under their bow cover too. They have a custom made insert that turns the bow into a bed. One sleeps there and the other sleeps on the floor between the seats. They're a lot younger than us. I think their's is a 26 Fourwinns too, a bit more roomy.

You can also go to Magma's website to see a variety of mounts available.

Some friends of mine used to overnight in their Sea Ray 240BR, too. They had a "pop-up" tent made that attached via the snaps around the bow.
