I would just like to introduce myself, My name is Brian I'am from North Branch MI. North Branch is about 15 miles north of I-69 inbetween Flint and Port Huron. I posted the pic's of the old Sea Ray plant. I currently don't have a Sea Ray yet, but I'am looking for a mid 70's SRV 200 with a Ford/Mercruiser I/O. I currently have a 1965 Crestliner Chieftian with a 65 hp Merc O/B. I hope to find my Sea Ray by the end of summer, if anyone knows of one for sale in the MI, OH, and IN areas please pass along.

Unfortunately, my brother-in-law just sold a 1972 SRV 200 with the 188. My father purchased it new in 1972 (still had the "made for Mr. XXXX" brass plate on the dash). It was always in a hoist and stored indoors in the winter. I inherited in 1999, but gave it to my brother-in-law when I bought the 280 in 2002 (from the same dealer who sold my father his boat). Mechanically, other than normal maintenance and the first and only re-build of the outdrive in 2001, it was in beautiful condition. My brother-in-law lost interest and recently sold it. I contemplated taking it back and refurbishing the interior, but didn't have the time....

Those are great handling and fast boats -- built solid....a lot of great boating memories! Just make sure you get a survey -- stringer/deck separation and transom rot isn't uncommon for a boat that old if not well pampered....
