I am a new owner of an 2002 SeaRay Sundancer 260 two weeks ago. After a little gel coat work and waxing I launched her and brought her to her new home in Hudson, Fl.
She is docked in our back yard in a canal that opens straight out into the normally calm Gulf waters. Having had several runabouts and cruisers in the past boating is nothing new to me. This is our first SeaRay and from what I have seen I have already grown to appreciate quite a bit of what goes into a SeaRay.
She is newly outfitted with a Garmin Plus 74CV chart plotter and Uniden DSC VHF radio.
The galley cabinets were rebuilt but not very well so that was the first job I tackled. Some minor repairs like canvas snaps and detailing are still underway but nearly completed. Today I will be installing a new shoot thru hull transducer for the sonar part of the new Garmin. I did not want to install the transom unit that came with the chart plotter as I did not want to drill any holes in the transom.
Looking forward to many years of enjoyment searching out new ports on the Gulf coast with our new "home".
Take care out there and be safe !
