Greetings All,

My name is John and I have been lurking here on CSR for a while and decided to join up!

There is a plethora of valuable information and advice on this forum that I have been taking in and hope that I can contribute as well.

My wife and I along with our 2 sons took delivery of a 2006 280DA last Sept. and we are eagerly awaiting the upcoming season starting in late April when splash-down occurs.

Looking forward to exchanging thoughts with the members and perhaps meeting up with some of you if the opportunity arises.

John

Welcome, where bouts are you located in NY?

I live in the City but my slip is up the hudson.

We are in Lindenhurst on the Great South Bay.

We do plan on cruising up into the Hudson this year once I gain some more confidence in operating and navigation.

John

Welcome! Definitely make the Hudson trip when you can. The great thing about cruising the Hudson (as opposed to most of the bays on Long Island where a good channel depth can be 13 ft and just outside the channel can drop to two) is you're in 60'++ water and it's extrmemely well marked as it's such a major shipping route. I hope MM is taking good care of you. Enjoy the season to the fullest!

All the New Yorkers should get a hudson convoy organized this season. That would be fun.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

When we get back in the water I'll snap some new images and upload them.

John

Welcome Aboard  . Post some pics of your boat in the virtual marina :smt024 .

Welcome aboard John.....from a close neighbor down here in Central NJ....I took partial delivery of my new/used boat this past December from Lindenhurst.

I'm heading up to the NY Harbor for a long weekend in August......The Hudson is a great trip......just be sure to keep a sharp eye out for the "floating wood"....

Welcome John!
Its great trip to the statue of liberty and then up the Hudson to the Tappan Zee.

Welcome to CSR.
You'll find a wealth of information here, and fine people.
You'll also find that the consensus of the 28 owners is that they love theirs. No doubt, you'll be hearing more.

Sea..... Welcome to the club. You'll find a great group of guys in this place. There are also some other local L.I. boaters in here.

Your going to love boating on the South Shore of L.I.......

Great... We anchor @ Croton all the time, usually 5 to 10 boat tie ups. If you see us feel free to join us.

I get it at Haverstraw Marina cause I get a discount for being a member.. Panco is usually competative.
