Hi all,
Seeking some advice for a two-day excursion (one night) to the Greenwich area in July.
Looking for a good spot to anchor, lunch, and swim (thinking near the Captain Islands, which I hear are pretty scenic?).
Then, I'd like to stay on a transient mooring if possible (Grass Island Marina?), but I do NOT have a dinghy so I'd require a launch service to get to town for dinner and back (does any mooring field in Greenwich Harbor offer such a service?).
If not, I would consider staying in a slip, or I could also consider crossing the sound to Oyster Bay where there are transient moorings with launch service.
Thoughts based on past experiences? And thoughts on Greenwich in general as a cruising destination/town?
