Green buttons won't pop up on 6.2 engine for winterizing

I have a 2006 320 Sundancer. Doing the winterizing for the first time and the 2 little green buttons on 1 motor popped up and water came out the bottom. The other motor (6.2 merc) as I was pumping slowly water was coming out the bottom of 2 spots but now the I can't green the 2 green buttons to pop up. I am thinking a small leaking somewhere in the line. Any suggestions? Just want to make sure all the water is out. Can I put an air compressor to it with low pressure to get them to pop? Or use a bigger hand pump?

You can use a bike pump, would not use a compressor. Check to make sure the release valve is not pulled open.

Release valve is closed. When I pull it I get only a small amount of air. I'll try a bike pump. Thanks
