I love her, especially after the repowering with the 4.5 MPI pair she is amazingly smooth to sail with. So far sailed up to fully developed seas of maximum 4Bft winds and 1mtrs wave height and she is doing great. Unstoppable.

    Great pics!

That med-mooring process fascinates me. There's no way I wouldn't have lost 1 admiral and 2.6 kids by now if we had to negotiate that plank every weekend on the boat :):)

I always thought the same. Not to mention it looks like quite a process to cast off since you're pulling two anchors, unhooked at the stern, etc. I guess when the water looks like that, who cares? ;)

Hahahah… it’s not that hard. For most mooring spots you drop your anchor , plow it properly and then drop stern lines. The organized , big commercial marinas have permanent anchors and lazy lines but they also provide people to assist with the mooring.

Lambrosnikolo, in that drone shot while moored stern to shore with all those sailboats, do the shore lines get drug up there by crew? How are they anchored into the rocks so they don’t break free? Med mooring has always intrigued me so I read and studied up on how to do it in marinas but I wondered how it’s done when out in a cove like that with a bigger boat. With my tiny boat, I set my bow anchor, then back up close to shore where comfortable then use a small spike anchor and I’m good to go. But I’d assume a .6m spike (2’ for us Americans) would not work in the rocks or for a bigger boat.

I'll be interested to see what they do in Greece. Up here in on Georgian Bay where we stern into rocky shore at anchor, a friend had an idea to use climbing rock nuts. Its usually easy to find a nice crack in the rock to wedge a nut in. You attach a shackle to the rock nut to attach to the line to prevent chaffing.
