Great Lakes Launch Dates?

Eric- The water looks great in your photo. Sounds like your impeller is bad. We ran in friends boat to Port Washington from Milwaukees in less than 1 foot seas. Just a bit chilly as water was 37-38 yet. Still better being on it than....

Yea, the water was great, but a little cold. It's funny how you can be sweating on the way out the channel, and putting on a sweatshirt as soon as you hit the water!

My impellers are fine, I just found out yesterday that it's my head gasket.......i think.

Hello All;

This is my first post. We checked out the launch at our "Home Port" on Lake Mendota at Madison, WI today. Alright it's not one of the Great Lakes, but it is a Great lake. One out of 3 docks in at the Gov. Nelson State Park.

As Mike (from our local Skipper Bud's) said when we bought the boat in 2004, "Here in Wisconsin we boat from April to November" Well I've been more a May to October guy myself. Maybe one more snow. I getting an itchy throttle arm!

Congrats! I am next Thursday. I will be running from St. Clair to Cedar Point as soon as she's wet... hopefully all goes well.

Snowed the last 2 days(total 10-12"), snowing on-off today. Haven't started to get the boat ready yet. Looks like 4-5wks before it's in the water. Have fun guys.

Northern Wisconsin is gods country (in the winter). I have been sledding up there a couple of times. But as a boater, I would not be able to deal with such a short boating season. I hope your season gets to you asap.

I'm not sure what's better, can't boat because of the weather, or can't boat because it's broke....

Splashed on Friday Apr 17. Nice weekend till Sunday but the upcoming weekend should be close to 80 degrees again!
Diesel fuel prices much improved versus last season....less than $2 per gallon to top er off!!

Splashed on 4/13 and have spent 6 nights on board in my slip in Holland since! God, I love my boat!

Looks like a good week comning up. We acceptede an offer on our 320 and have the new boat shipping in on Monday. Survey of engines and structure and if all goes well we will be splashed no later than 4/30 as new owners of a 2005 390 loaded with options. Lets hope Mother nature will be in our favor too!

Splashed on the 17th to a awsome 80 degree weekend, well untill coming acrost lake st. clair saturday evening through 75 mph winds and 6 to 7 ft waves LOL, but couldn't be happier with the boats performance and the fact that it is finally in the water

We're in!! We had a great run from St. Clair Shores to Cedar Point on Friday morning, and then spent the rest of the weekend working! The 4 step polish and wax really kicked my butt!!

trailering the boat home on Friday. finish polishing/waxing/etc. Plan is to splash on Saturday, Sunday at the latest. Finished the teak that I was able to remove, and is ready to be reinstalled. The other teak will be finished while she's in her slip.

We got my dad's fishing boat in on Saturday.
