Grand Bend

I was thinking of taking a trip up to Grand Bend. Anyone know anything about the marinas there? Are they nice, clean, etc...?

The marina was redone a few years ago and they did a pretty nice job...it is fairly small ... I am not sure about the facilities....(showers etc.).. But the town is still the same ...just alot of fun !!....well worth the trip

I believe there are two marinas (may be the same but in different locations). One is on the south side of the channel near the gas dock. This facility has the "new" showers etc. but you are on the wrong side of the channel, to get to main street you need to walk up the bridge and cross then head back down the main drag (mile or so). You can also dock up the channel on the North side. When docking (side tie) on the North side you are right next to the main street running to the beach with all the shops, bars, restaurants, etc.. However the shower set up on the north side is pretty bad (do not touch anything and where sandals)

The Beach is awesome!! It is a good run. When you there you may as well check out Bayfield. I believe it is only 10-15 miles up the Canadian shore.
