Hmmmm... Not good.
Seriously more concerned about planes than boats though... At 400kts in IFR conditions, it's a real good idea to know where you are.

I am surprised this isn't garnering more discussion?
Nearly 150 folks looked at this and had no comment. It is scary as hell that a hacker with a couple grand in equipment could bring down planes or run your boat on auto-pilot into the breakwall.

It's far less likely to create a disaster on a boat as most boaters have visual landmarks as ref. points and could detect issues. Further, traveling at 20kts on a two dimensional axis doesn't have the same concerns for me as a three dimensional axis with potentially no visual ref.
Pilots need to be highly concerned about this as most flights are flown on autopilot.
