I am thinking about purchaseing the Nautic Path card for my Lowrance GPS. The card will show depth contours. Will it automatically adjust for tides? Or what tides are the depths based on?

They do not adjust, they are based off NOAA depths that you can find on paper charts. I guess it is mean low tide.

I am not familiar with Lowrance, but the chart card itself will tell you what datum it is based on. Depths are either based on mean low water or mean lower low water. Be sure to check the depth units too. Sometimes depth is in feet, sometimes in meters, sometimes in fathoms. If the card covers a large area it may use all 3 measurements.
