great running pics! both boats look great! I can't beleive you run with your hatches up!! I did that once on my 22 and one rough wave was all it took to completely strip the tighting screw:( oh and I'm very envious of your camper top, I'd love to have the raised section at the helm.

Looking Good! Thanks for sharing. We run with the hatches up at 45 degrees in calm water.....batten them down for the bad stuff. With the weight of the 270 & 300, not many rough waves bounce the hatches or boat at 30mph, Mike.

Thanks for liking the pics this boat was a mess when i got it and it is slowly coming together. I have never had a issue with the hatches though in fact it is what my son likes best about being on the boat he rides in the cabin most of the time and loves the wind from it, to attest to the great ride these boats have i had a rider on board that smoked, to do that i have them go to the bow and sit up there (when parked of course) when she did i guess she left her lighter sitting on the deck next to the forward hatch, didnt notice it untill after i was on plan on the way accross the lake after the 4th of july fireworks (lots of boats) ran the 11 miles back to the marina at 28mph and the lighter was sitting exactly were it she had left it when we got back.

Cherokeeguy = Great Pics. Take the co-captain as often as you can and later involve him. It's the best time.

I am with you on that one Searaybio 270, my wife was never on boats growing up so she doesnt really get the boating life style (only been together 3 years total) but i grew up on them from the time i was born and one of the biggest reasons for wanting the 270 was all the family room you get both in the cabin and out, so he will always be there i am sure. Now just have to figure out what to do when he is 16 and wants to take out what ever we have at the time alone LOL.

Has anybody ordered pics from BoatPics.com? We were comming back from the Blue Angles air show in Pensacola bay on my fathers Formula 292 Fastec and they flew overhead and took some shots. I was thinking about ordering them for him for Christmas.

I think there are a few threads about that last i read (have not tryed to order my self) is that they are very expensive, something like 250-300 a shot

Real nice shots and a beautiful "Pre Clinton" SR you got there!

Whenever we travel with others, I keep my camera on the bridge to get some shots of our travel buddies' boats. My wife doesn't understand how happy it makes a captain to see his/her boat moving. Remember, he/she is the one who is least likely to see it moving at all (other than from the helm).

I also bug everyone I travel with to take shots of ME! My sig pic is new - first "under way" shot with the enclosure down.

Even better is video. Got this after getting my friend on the radio and realizing we were about to pass each other...

And interestingly, my buddy simultaneously shot this pic of me...

Great Boat, Great Pics. The pics are likely not on this site. Do this:

1) Go to photobucket.com
2) Sign up
3) Upload photos from your computer at no cost
4) Copy the last link of the 4 from photos you want to post (links show up when you put your cursor over the photo)
5) Paste the link as it is in your post here. The link will take the viewer to photobucket and they will see your photo imbedded in your post here
6) Smile, and don't forget the bikini shots

Great video and pic, looks good with the encloser down. How does one go about getting videos embedded i have a few that i would love to post.
