You say that like it is a BAD thing. I have to confess "Ignorance" as well as to why a smaller boat like that would need 60 plus "rod holders". I held a Commercial Fishing License for two years, and currently hold a USCG Captains license so I would guess I am probably as good at bringing up fish as whoever owns that boat. I have never messed with Spider Rigging or "vertical trolling", nor have I ever seen a set-up like that other than in pictures. I know what a down rigger is, and why I might want different poles available on a fishing trip. I do have Google, and I am not afraid to use it. "Ignorance" is just lack of knowledge or information. Until I looked it up, that setup seemed as ridiculous to me as two saddles on a horse.

There is nothing ridiculous about two saddles on a horse as long as they are less than 6" apart.....

I spent many thousands of hours on off shore sport fishing boats as a deckhand in my younger years. I also don't see why that many rod holders would be needed, so I understand why people would ask.
