Let me tell you I have been hearing rumors about many people having to pay who had not previously had to pay... So take your paint brush and a lot of Prep-H, and to all of the tree huggers and those who proclaim "Change" and worship the new adminstation and the Messsiah.:smt013

I say kiss my %$#^&*:smt013

It is quite disgusting when one works as a hourly employee and has to pay more then their military retirement for taxes, plus Medicaid and social security.:smt013

I can hardly wait until this new medical chit kicks in? How much longer until the USA is just another third world entity?:smt013

The middle class cannot afford to buy,so there goes manufacturing

I hear ya! <MAD!>

But signs are strong things are looking up! :)

How about last night's election in MA! That was amazing and definitely a sign of 'hope.'

No doubt!!!

Not long ago, who'd have ever guessed such a thing was even possible??? Not me!

Seems when people get a full, 100% dose of Kennedy-like actions, it leaves a bad after taste. LOL

THANK YOU MASSACHUSETTS !!!

Hopefully, this is a sign of the political events to come!!!

Sitting here listening to our 'Illustrious Leader' tell us how well we are doing!!
Not!
Telling us how many people have been put back to work.
Hmmm Illinois is over 11% right now.

I'm still out of work and struggling with 2 mortgages (thanks to an ex wife) and a (thankfully) small boat payment.

Where in the hell does he think he is going to get the monies to implement the ideas he has?

Can we all say SOCIALISIM in unison?

I'm sorry, but I cannot wait until Feb 2 here in Illinois and November for the 1/2 term elections.

Let the people speak and I truly hope they do.
What a mistake 2008 was!

Sorry
Only my $0.02 worth
And I am suffering from "Shrink Wrapped Boat Withdrawal"

35 years as an Independent Small Business Owner and about to give it up

Sorry to hear you're still out of work. Last week my sons job went down the tube and I can somewhat relate. He's 29 with wife, kid and his share of debt. We spent last weekend working out a survival plan. He is far more optimistic than I at this point.

Well I have sent two lawmakers a few comments Ander Crenshaw and George LeMieux. I do not have time to play the PC game so my messages are what they are. :smt021

Mr. Crenshaw,

I am beyond mad at all of you in congress. I am a widower, so now my filing status has changed. I find it disgusting to believe that if one somehow manages to make a taxable income of $100.000.00 they owe $25,000.00 in federal taxes, not to mention Medicaid and Social Security, another approximately $7,500.00.

Have all of the buffoons in Washington completely forgot whom they are suppose to be representing.

Why does some illegal even qualify for social security? Let’s cut these damn TAXES.

Lets see I had to take a seven percent pay cut last year, and as I mentioned before, in the truest sense of the term, there may not have been any inflation (by definition only) but a seven percent cut, and utilities, property taxes, cable, phone taxes etc, increasing while that is inflation to me

And while I am at it tell you moronic aides to refrain from contacting me back with inane rhetoric, The Cola given the previous year was 5.2 percent and not 7.2 percent, and it was not given out like some cracker jack prize which your aide espoused in his message to me, I mean after all gasoline was at times over $5.00 per gallon.

I want less Gov-Mint, (and I know how to spell)

You want to fix this country? Put all members of congress on social security, paying their own health care, remove all benefits, cars, offices, and travel money.
Have all members pay at their own expense, and I am sure we would see some real concern about this country and not lip service.

If you want your aides to do something have them do a real statistical analysis, of what this current administrations middle class tax cuts amount to, I cannot bring myself to mention his name, socialism does not sit well with me, I will say “He’s got to go come 2012.”

Anyway, the baby boomers make up a substantial part of the middle class, so these proposed tax cuts for education and other none existent deductions are going to really end up affecting just how many folks?

I am also tired of hearing about keep taxing the wealthy

As a band aid, all of the bail out money would have done more, but even this is Gov-Mint, if the money had been spent on roads and bridges, and not given to the banks. Contractors hired, who hire workers who spend money, manufacture needed to produce supplies for the products, at least the money is going around in circles via the butcher, baker, candle stick maker.

Thanks

Howard
So okay I admit I am Purely disgusted :smt013

If you think you paid some taxes now, wait until the Bush tax credits are allowed to expire as part of OBama's budget plan. It is included in this current budget to let the tax cuts expire. :smt013

I have already written my senators have you?

Did you see that the White House made Reuters remove an article about this last night. Reuters had an article about how the middle class will also be f.... Taxed and they made them remove it.

Here are the links;

The article: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/100201/us/usreport_us_budget_backdoortaxes

now removed

I really recommend all those on CSR who normally do not write a congress person, do so now. If you fall into the definition of middle class, this currrent administration is really going to put the screws to you.

Look at it this way when these tax credits expire, and lets say you tax base is an even $100,000.00 after all deductions, your taxes could be 30%, plus social security and medicaid, you may have close to 40% total withheld, not counting any medical you may pay.

So I would l be very afraid, very afraid indeed, thsi country cannot survive without a middle class.
