So Shannon and I found our replacement for the little Sea Ray that could. After playing the waiting game with a man who wanted to sell up his 270 sedan bridge he decided to keep it. So we went on the hunt again and found an old Carver. After looking it over and checking the stringers and hearing the engines run then reciving my wife's approval we bought a 1976 Carver Mariner 28ft. the boat needs a little work but most of the boats i buy do. The owner was planning to sail it down the ICW and live on it somewhere in the south but plans changed. He included 2 flat screen TVs, 2 generators a very nice trailer, all sorts of little carver emblems, 6 batteries that are all new and still in the packaging. freshly refinished wood 2 gallons of bottom paint and a ton of other goodies. the cabin is clean and the hull is half buffed.
the bad
There is no canvas of any sort to speak of
the starboard engine has a carb issue but when i swapped carbs she fired right up and i mean right up so im sure it will be no major issue to fix.
