If you Google Earth the address and move directly east of the Marina you will be right where the Hurricane did much of it's damage. Google Earth however has not updated the Sat photos so things look as they did pre devastation.

I am kicking myself for not asking what you do or dont like about your marina. Ours has what seems like a steady wind blowing from the north to the south.

Stop kicking yourself I'd be glad to give you the info. It would be a Hell of a commute from Idaho though, better grease up the Bearing Buddies.
The Marina has a swimming pool, restaurant, tennis courts, water and electric, cable (extra fee), free WIFI, onsite repair facility and comprehensive store. i've had work done by them (Statewide Marine Sevices) and they have always done it right the first time. Not cheap but when the word Marine is included on a repair invoice it's Never cheap. The Marina is also the home port for the NJ State Marine Police, County Sherrif and local Marine Police. The NJ State Police have a Satellite Office onsite. We've never had any problems with thieves.
Another reason I chose this Marina is because it's directly off Barnegat Bay and about 30 minutes south of a boating hangout called 'Tices Shoal'. With the price of gas the less that 7.4 liter is running the happier my wallet. We spend a lot of time anchored there in the summer tied up with other boats. Since the hurricane blew through I'm hearing horror stories of all kind of debris in the bay. I may be a couple of years before it's back to pre-Sandy condition. Hopefully sooner. Another nice thing about the marina was not realized until after Sandy blew in town. Marinas North and South of ours were devastated Key Harbor lost one boat (the only pontoon boat there and 1/2 dozen boat sustained minor damage. We realized that because ther is a wetland preserve behind the marina instead of buildings it was able to rapidly absorb the 6 ft. surge wave no boats floted off their blocks. That's about it, we really like it there the owner takes time placing boaters together, partiers im the back by themslves. Fishermen close to the outlet so when they leave early they don't wake up the weekenders like us.

Only thing I dont like about mine is that there is no pump-out or gas available. But thats not really a big deal since I have to drive by a place with both thats less than 5 minutes away everytime I go out or come back.

I'm at 2950 Hwy 180, Gulf Shores AL 36542
I'm in the Navy Cove Condos there. My slip is right in the middle of the left side building. My boat is not shown in the photo
