Can someone let me know if $9000 is a good price for a 1995 Sea Ray Bowrider 195 20ft with 4.3L LX/V6 Alpha One with 100 hours on it. The interior is in perfect condition. lake water only. Trailered and basic maintentance done. No updates or mechanical work ever done on it. It seems high but it is hard to find a boat like this for sale in this good of shape. Any advice? NADA says $6800 for Avg retail price.

No mechanical work, hmm. Might have a thorough mechanical survey done by someone not affiliated with the seller. After 21 years with minimal use you may need a lot of maintenance to rubber parts such as bellows, belts, hoses, impeller, an so on. This could add up to thousands in repairs.

Get a thorough survey which might be a few hundred dollars, then you can use the results to negotiate a lower price. $9000 would be good if it was in good running condition. Last thing you want to do is spend $9000 on a boat that looks nice cosmetically but will require another $2000-$3000 in maintenance.

I second what blaster posted

Chevy introduced the Vortec engines in 1996, although some boats didn't get them until 1997. The 1995 and older made less power.
I see nice boats 5-7 years newer for the money you are looking at. You can't give away a boat this time of year in northern states. That boat would struggle to bring $4500 this time of year in Colorado.
