Good Job Bloomington PD

I started shooting my Savage .22Mag/20ga over under at about 7 or 8 years old. Winchester model 94 30-30 at 12. Actually started shooting it at 10 but hunting with it at 12. There were always guns around our house, not locked up. But I was taught to respect them and because I was familiar with them had no curiosity.

So why doesn’t Crapernick, Grinder or the others that take a knee and or protest go to the areas that need their attention when they are not performing their made for tv act?
If these guys got together and did their public service on their own time I would have no problem with it. We pay to watch them play football, not disrespect our flag. But none seem to want to do it on their own time

Back in early 90s I was a little need of cash. Sold a beautiful 20 gauge side by side, and a Remington Nylon 66C, both for $110. Some nights I lie awake regretting it.
If you don’t know what the 66C was, most Nylon 66 were tube fed. The 66C was a very rare 10 shot magazine fed model, probably worth well over a grand today, try to find one, you won’t. Dam I was stupid.

The 66C isn't that rare, I am afraid to say. Still have the one I bought for my boys (green stock one) and it is still like new.
Thing that's hard to find (but are out there) is the OEM 10 shot plastic mag.

Used to be the symbols NRA meant something other than what they mean today. They reinforced gun education, safety, and rights. While I’m still a member, I’m not to fond of the direction they have gone. Seems to me they have put rights first and safety and education last.

We all used to go out and have BB gun battles, there was a two pump rule. We all would build forts along the creek and battle it out from canoes and the forts. It was a blast. No one ever got hurt. My Grumman had more BB dents than anyone could count. Never did it make me want to kill anyone.

Sure, but what could they support in terms of “common sense gun laws” that the anti gunners wouldn’t take advantage of? Give them n inch, they’ll take a mile.

Video games and abortion.
You guys have some interesting theories.

I speculate that it’s rap music and sensationalizing gangster life in every aspect of life.

I can’t agree, I don’t know what the problem is BUT the Sicilian mob has been glamourized in movies since James Cagney in the 40s, and as a full blood Sicilian, never felt the need to pursue that lifestyle. My father would have kicked my butt.

People scoff at the concept of kids learning violence from video games but let me say this. When I was a cop in the 80's all that Kung Fun Fighting stuff was popular on TV. As I would ride through the neighborhoods I saw kids practicing it in their front yards with each other.

Kids learn from TV and game screens and practice what they see.

PS, back in the day, there was an order, a code, now it’s just thugs acting independent.
The Colombians have their business, so do the Russians, the Sicilians are history. You don’t hear about them gunning down people in the streets. It’s the people I am not allowed to comment on or get banned. Ya, THOSE squeegee kids.

There are 2 groups. There are gang bangers, who I think are more a victim of environmental, family and no discipline, respect or fear of authority. The other group being the mass shooters. This group I think are the ones more affected by video games, bullying, and 'snowflakes' that can't handle getting picked on. Don't get me wrong, not advocating picking on people but every one of us has been picked on at some point in our lives and we turned out fine.

I think they have become desensitized by reality, not necessarily by video games. In an age where every such instance is plastered all over the internet, they are seeing a continuous barrage of glorified violence. Couple this with the woke chorus convincing them they are all victims of this and victims of that, and it shouldn't surprise us.

This.

and it's all available on the internet, sufferings of war, shootings, cuttin' heads off, torture of various methods, the nastiest of sexual kinks, you name it. Ya' the real deal...if parents only knew what their kids have seen. Most importantly, all those things the kids see are being done by adults. You know...settin' examples.;)

Nah. It wasn’t the TV. It was the song. :)

Guys. It’s Christmas, so I am going bow out of this conversation else I gonna get banned from the the internet!
But the best bumper sticker I ever seen was…
“If I’d known it was gonna be this much trouble, I’d have picked my own damn cotton”.
Close 2nd….
“Trust the govt, ask an Indian “.
