Model CFDM 5/8" rope only windlass. Came original on my 340 sundancer. Removed 1/27/19.
Used it all summer without any issues. Upgrading to a rope/chain windlass. At $250, I'll include the switches, mounting bolts, breaker, and solenoid. In person cash sale only. No issues, all operates as it should. The aluminum bracket attached to the solenoid is NOT INCLUDED, I'll be reusing it for the new install. Last picture shows hole pattern for install. Good windlass is still in business for support. Would really not want to ship. Rather sell local and not have be disassemble and remove oil to ship.

If you are going with the Good Stealth windlass (F850), Good has a trade-in program. They supply a Starboard material template that covers the existing holes and allows you to use the existing motor hole as the new rope/chain hole.

h_gerry, thanks for the info, I already looked into that, something like $1600 plus my old windlass. I was able to grab lewmar HX1 GD800, WITH a rope/chain rode(200’ of 5/8” eight plait and 30’ of 5/16” G4 chain), for $867 plus tax. Clearly, a no-brainer for me, even considering the the reputation of GOOD Windlass. Personally, I’ve had excellent results with Lewmar so, again, easy call for me.

I have Good free fall windlass. The problem is, when I’m raising the anchor every minute or so I have to go inside the boat and pull the rope, then it’s working again for a minute or so. Does anybody know what should I check on ?

How long is the fall from the bottom of your windlass to the TOP of the pile up of the anchor rode? Most windlass manufacturers say at least 12". My experience is the longer the fall, the better. Once that line piles up high enough, it's either flatten out the pile, or some other type of hands on manipulation.
A few questions;
1 All rope, or rope/chain combo?
2 Is the from the gypsy to the anchor roller within the specs for your model ?
3 Can you post a few pics of your chain locker, and above deck setup? Many helpful minds on this forum.

I will have to take pictures. But I’m sure I have more the 12”. I would say 16-18”
